On 6 February 2016, the Opera organized the Shakespeare Gala. Special guest star of this reinvented event for all arts was Plácido Domingo, who sang on stage of the Opera House for the first time.

Special guests of the evening were internationally renowned figures of the world of arts and Hungarian public life.

On Valentine’s Day, 14 February 2015, the Opera organized its second charity ball of integrated arts.

By naming the event Faust Ball the Opera wished to pay tribute to the 225^th anniversary of the first publication of Goethe’s Faust.

On 1 March 2014, the Opera organized the Silver Rose Ball.

The event received its name after the opera Der Rosenkavalier by Richard Strauss. The Opera wished to pay tribute to the 150^th anniversary of the composer’s birth.
