Following on the success of last season’s gala, the Opera will be holding a similarly styled event, this one linked to the institution’s Hungarian Season. This year’s gala will take the audience to the half-soldierly and half-fairy tale world of János Háry. Just as previous events showcased the worlds of sport, science and commerce, this time the focus will be on our protectors, whose foremost personalities we will be inviting to the palace on Andrássy Avenue. The gala programme features hits from opera masterpieces as well as popular pieces by Zoltán Kodály in the interpretation of the most outstanding Hungarian artists and our international guest stars.
